4SED Student Spotlight: Kylie Louie

Here we have Kylie Louie! Keep scrolling to read more.

The 4S Education Foundation proudly sponsors a mentorship program where we have college students who volunteer to mentor high school seniors in the college application process. These include helping them make a college list, editing their supplementals and PIQs, and more! We have a new cohort of talented and wise seniors every year and we hope to introduce them through our student spotlights.

Today’s student spotlight is on Kylie Louie, a senior at Downtown Magnets High School.

Kylie’s favorite academic interests are psychology, biochemistry, and health. She hopes to be a Biology major next Fall, and hopes to perform her own research. In our program, she has been working with her mentor, Celine, through the college application season. Here are a few words from Kylie on her experience:

“4s was such a great opportunity for me because it helped me keep myself accountable for my applications and my mentor supported me a lot through this process. I always felt like I could ask any small question about this process and even go as far as to work with other mentors who share the same interest as me.”

Outside of school, Kylie spends time sketching. Her art medium is graphite pencil! She also likes to read when she has free time, so she’s open to any of your book recommendations!

We are glad to have Kylie in our 2022-2023 4S Education Foundation student cohort! Good luck as you work on your college applications!
