Q: What led you to choose your course of study?
A: I decided to study political science because it is a subject that I’m very passionate about. Politics affects many aspects of our lives, which is why I believe it is important to develop a strong understanding of it. Pursuing a degree in political science would also connect to my goals of attending law school in the future.
Q: How has the 4S Education Program helped you achieve your higher education goals?
A: The 4S Education Program provided a lot of support during my college application process. My mentor was always super encouraging and helped me put my best foot forward in my applications. With her help, I was able to get into many of my top choices for college.
Q: What impact do you hope to make with your academic career?
A: I hope that as a lawyer, I will be able to provide legal representation for the people and causes that need it most. I aspire to fight for justice with what I learn in law school.
Q: Any advice for students applying to college?
A: My advice to students applying to college: Have an open mind about yourself and the colleges you are considering. Things that might not seem very significant at first could actually make a great application story! And there are many factors to take into consideration when choosing colleges to apply to - try to look at a variety of school sizes, locations, etc., even if you think you might already have an idea of what type of college you’d like to attend. Most of all, make time for yourself to relax and do things that you enjoy. Applying to colleges can be a long and stressful process, so don’t be too hard on yourself.
