Meet Coco!
Q: How did you find out about the 4S Education Foundation?
A: During my junior year of high school, I felt extremely anxious and nervous because I had no idea where to start for my college application process. Thankfully, my college counselor recommended the 4S Education Foundation, where I could get my concerns and questions answered and become more confident in myself as a college applicant. Being a part of the 4S program made it easier for me to get through one of the most stressful times in my life and fulfill my goals of receiving an education beyond high school.
Q: What was the most helpful piece of advice you’ve received from your 4S mentor?
A: The most helpful advice I received from my mentor was how to convey my story to admission officers effectively. Not only that, but my mentor played a significant role in supporting and guiding me through the college application process. Even when I had many questions and needed a second reader for many of my college admission essays, my mentor was always present and patient with me.
Q: What are some of your hobbies?
A: I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends and family, listening to music, and going on long walks during my free time. Self-care is important to me, especially when I have a lot on my plate, like when I was applying to multiple schools along with focusing on my academics and extracurriculars.
