4S Mentor Spotlight: Sophia Goldberg, Princeton University

The mission of the 4S Education Foundation is to provide equal opportunities for higher education to students of all backgrounds. Our one-on-one mentorship program has helped thousands of students through each step of the college application process and beyond.

Today, we’re featuring one of our 4S Mentors, Sophia Goldberg!

Sophia is currently a senior at Princeton University and a wonderful mentor for the 4S Education Foundation.

Meet Sophia!


Q: What are you studying in college?

A: I am majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Latin American Studies. I am also working on my Senior Thesis in the Kleiner Chemical Biology Lab.

Q: What is your favorite thing about being a 4S Mentor?

A: I love hearing from my students each spring and seeing how excited they are about their college acceptances!

Q: What advice do you have for future college students?

A: Get involved in things that make you interested, not just things that you think would look good on a resume. Also, be comfortable asking for help!

Q: What do you like to do for fun?

A: I love watching sports, both collegiate and professional. Go Rams!!

Q: What extracurriculars are you part of?

A: I am co-president of J-Lats, a Jewish-Latinx cultural affinity space, and Finance Director of Princeton University Science Olympiad. I'm also a member of the Latinx Medical Student Association and the Princeton University Chemical Society.
