Q: How did the 4S Education Foundation impact your life?

A: As the first generation in my family to study in the United States, I found it difficult to start navigating the college application process. When I was a senior in high school, Dr. Chase not only helped me to edit my college essays, but also offered me endless encouragement to follow every one of my aspirations.

The only thing he asked for in return was that I consider being a mentor for his new project, called the 4S Education Foundation. Immediately I was blown away by the fact that there was a group of educators and supporters so purely dedicated to the development of young minds. Since then, I have had the pleasure of being a mentor for the 4S Education Foundation for three years (and counting!).

I love hearing all the incredible stories my students have to tell, and it is always my number one priority in writing to help those stories come across to admissions readers. My students teach me every day what it means to stay curious and ambitious. I cannot wait to see all they and the Foundation will do in years to come!
