4S Blog Contributor Mentor Stanford Febie Lin

Febie is a first-year undergraduate student at Stanford University. She is a prospective bio-mechanical engineering major on a pre-med track. On campus, she is involved with Legacy Dance Team, Stanford Premedical Association, and Asian American Sibling Program. In her free time, she enjoys baking, crocheting, and planning spontaneous adventures with her friends.

Q: How did the 4S Education Foundation impact your life?

A: In my senior year of high school, I felt unsure of how to navigate my college application journey. This foundation gave me the confidence and the guidance I needed to achieve far beyond what I had ever imagined. Weekly meetings with my amazing mentor, Lydia, not only helped me produce some of my best writing, but it also incited a heightened period of reflection and personal growth in my life.

As a current mentor, I’m ecstatic that my students have chosen to let me in and share their college application journey with me. In the same way that the 4S Education Foundation has aided me in this daunting process, I aim to uphold this same standard by passing it forward to my current students. Most importantly, to all the college applicants, I hope to spread the message that there is nothing that is unattainable or impossible.

The world is your oyster!
