4S Student Spotlight: Rebecca, Alhambra High
Everyday, the 4S Education Foundation has mentors helping and guiding our students in their college applications and college career planning.
Today, we’re featuring one of the students of the 4S Education Foundation to share with us the impact 4S has made in her life.
Meet Rebecca!
Rebecca is currently a senior at Alhambra High School, where she is a debate captain. With her driven personality and great work ethic, Rebecca was accepted to be a member of the 2022 cohort of 4S Scholars.
Q: What are you planning to study in college?
A: While I’m not entirely certain on which majors I want to pursue, I’m passionate about entrepreneurship, technology, and social impact. Majors I’m interested in are management sciences & engineering, product design, computer science, and international policy. I’m really excited to explore other areas as well!
Q: How has the 4S Education Foundation helped you?
A: The 4S Education Foundation helped me get into my dream university and I became friends with the most inspiring individuals. Dr. Chase is truly so passionate about education and he's helped so many students accomplish their goals, as well as achieve things they've never imagined. I'm also very grateful for my mentor who is like an older sister to me. I'm very excited for the opportunity to work with 4S and to connect with many students in the coming years.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: In my free time I have been painting, learning to code, taking long walks, coffee-chats, reading autobiographies, trying (and failing) to bake, rewatching ocean’s 8 for the millionth time.
Rebecca will be attending Stanford University in the Fall of 2022.
