Staff Spotlight: Mentor Monday
Mentors are a vital part of our organization who meet at least 30 hours with their mentees and guide them through the college process. This July, we are starting a weekly series called “#MentorMonday” where we feature our dedicated and hardworking mentors.
For today’s #MentorMonday, we will be featuring one of our newest 4SEDmentors, Meet Rebecca Wu!
Meet Rebecca!
Rebecca has recently graduated from Alhambra High School and was part of our 2021-2022 Cohort! We asked her some questions. You could get to know more about Rebecca below:
Q: What college will you attend this Fall?
A: Rebecca will be attending Stanford University in the Fall as a part of the Class of 2026.
Q: What is your major/field of study?
A: Rebecca will be majoring in Management Sciences & Engineering.
Q: What are some of your significant accomplishments and extracurricular activities?
A: Rebecca carried out an internship at the Los Angeles Superior Courts, worked on product development with college start-ups, and was the captain of Alhambra High’s Speech Team.
Q: What are some of your favorite movies and hobbies?
A: Ocean’s 8 is Rebecca’s favorite movie. She is actually on her twenty-seventh watch and counting. Some of her favorite things to do during her free time are reading horror movie plots, ice skating, and walking around the airport.
